Anna Baird Choi - Partner
Anna Baird Choi is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. For the past 14 years, she focused her practice in administrative law, beginning with a clerkship in the N.C. Office of Administrative Hearings after graduating from law school. After gaining extensive experience and exposure to the many different facets of N.C. administrative law, she worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the N.C. Department of Justice, representing both Dorothea Dix Hospital (the State’s oldest psychiatric hospital) and the Division of Child Development (DCD). In her role as counsel for DCD, she advised the agency on matters related to licensing, administrative actions taken against licensed businesses, and other matters related to the regulation of the child care industry. In her role as an Assistant Attorney General, she also represented the State in personnel matters. During the past eight years, she has worked in private practice, representing businesses and individuals with immigration needs, occupational licensing boards, and individuals/businesses with issues related to State licensing matters. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America (2009).
